I enjoy coming to work each day because of the students, teachers, paraeducators, support staff, principle Merv, Cindy and Rafael. Anacapa Adult Transition is a place of kindness, support and FUN. We are diligent problem solvers. We provide excellent instruction for all levels of students' abilities in the community, vocational sites and at AAT .
I have worked in the field of special education for 43 years. I have worked in nonprofit organizations and companies that provide services for people with disabilities. I have worked in 5 different school districts. I have worked full time, job share, day to day and long term substitute teacher. I was the board president for twelve years for a nonprofit therapeutic horse riding program for people who have disabilities.
I enjoy hiking in the local mountains, hanging out with my grandson and have been blessed to be able to ride my friends’ horses for over 50 years.
