Community Based Instruction

Community Based Instruction is fundamental to developing student’s independence by applying the skills learned during classroom instruction in the community.  Transportation training, street safety, budgeting, work experience, career exploration, and daily living skills are among some of the skills that are essential for students to maximize their independence.  Having our students in and interacting with the community with Community Based Instruction also supports development of a more inclusive community
