Shannon Ferguson

Shannon grew up in the area and was a student in  the Oxnard Union High School District. (Rio Mesa High School.) Both of her parents were educators. Shannon started working for the District in 1994 as a Paraeducator. She did that for many years  while raising her children, and completing her degree and credential  program. Her passion has always been to serve students with disabilities. She believes in giving students every opportunity to thrive at school, vocational sites, and the community. Her famous statement is “ Have Fun, because you can’t learn if you aren't having fun!.” 

 

She loves  spending time with her family, and friends,  taking walks, watching movies, going to the beach, and reading.
