Erik Blundell
Erik was born in the ‘Nard and has lived in Ventura County most of his life. He worked as a paraeducator in Goleta, CA before earning his Education Specialist Credential and Masters of Education at UC Santa Barbara. He landed his first teaching gig at Buena High School in Ventura Unified School District in 2017 and worked there for three years. He moved into the Oxnard Union High School District during the pandemic and transferred to Anacapa Adult Transition program for the 2021/22 school year.
Erik became the liaison for Special Olympics this year. Anacapa is now a Unified Champion school and competes in sports with local high schools. Erik is excited to build the unified sports program and support students in growing as individuals and meeting their athletic goals. He believes in giving students every opportunity to thrive at school, in the community, and on the sports field.
Erik enjoys spending time with his two children, wife, and 97-pound dog. Erik loves Star Wars!! He roller skates, bikes, surfs, and plays drum kit on his free time. He is stoked to be a Seadog!!
