Back to School

Greeting Anacapa Students and Families,

I hope you are enjoying your summer.  We are excited about our 2nd year as SeaDogs!

For our new students, you will be automatically registered at Anacapa Adult Transition Program.  All students will receive a call from First Student Transportation (805-228-5542) before school starts indicating the pick-up time in the morning and drop off time in the afternoon. Please call them if you have questions.

We are eager to increase family engagement by starting Compañeros de Anacapa.  Teachers, paras, students, and families are all invited to these bi-monthly meetings to provide information on Adult Day Programs, Community Resources, Anacapa’s HARBOR program, and more.

For students requiring medications or medical procedures during the school day, medical orders need to be renewed annually.  Please contact our school nurse Lisa Paaske Wyrick 805-559-2081 or lisa.wyrick@oxnardunion.org  if  your student requires medications  during school hours, has specialized physical health care needs or there have been any changes in your students health, medical needs, questions, or concerns.

Enclosed is information regarding several of our program’s components:

We hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer and look forward to seeing you on August 17th refreshed, relaxed and ready to learn!

Sincerely,

Michael ‘Merv’ VanAuker BCBA

Principal of Adult Transition Program, Home of the SeaDogs!
